BWK Eastern
The small combing plant a two hour's drive east of Istanbul is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is fully functional, i.e. no further investment was necessary for BWK to start operations. The start of production was in the beginning of 2003.
The produced combed top of this plant, is nearly exclusively for the Turkish market. The acquisition of the Turkish combing plant has been vital for BWK, providing the only opportunity to be competitive on this extremely important low cost market. Consequently, the integration of the combing plant perfectly fits in with the strategy of the Bremer Woll-Kämmerei.
